About

Aaron Lamb

Founder of LAMBS Fitness

Aaron started his fitness journey over 10 years ago, where he spent his earlier years playing different sports and working towards his goal of joining the Royal Marines, which set the foundations for becoming a well-equipped athlete. During the process of joining the Royal Marines, Aaron had to learn many different styles of training to get his body ready for the rigours of military lifestyle. After many years of training Aaron entered basic training but unfortunately was medically discharged, but this didn't stop him from pushing his boundaries. In 2021, Aaron completed his Level 3 Personal Training course and progressed to completing a Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coach course in 2022. A Statement from Aaron: "I have already been extremely blessed to have the fitness journey I've had so far. Joining the Royal Marines was a massive passion of mine, and it was a shame I didn't get all the way through. Sometimes life stops you from achieving one goal to show you another opportunity. After leaving, I had to refocus on how I could give back, due to many different reasons I picked health and fitness. Starting LAMBS Fitness and developing the company over the last 3 years has been rewarding, but the experiences and knowledge I teach clients comes from over 10 years of trial and error, which I have personally undertaken. As our mission statement at LAMBS Fitness states, I aim to give people the most educated holistic approach to their health and fitness." Moving to Thame in 2021, Aaron now has a clear understanding of how to help the local community achieve their goals. Becoming a key part of the fitness environment through being a Personal Trainer at the oldest fitness centre in Thame (Racquets Fitness Centre), as well as developing a strong presence within the sporting community through Thame Football Club, Thame Runners, Chinnor Rugby Club and Thame BJJ.

Personal Training vs. Small Group Training: Which Is Better For Your Goals?
Choosing how to start your fitness journey is often the hardest part. You know you want to feel better, move easier, and build a body that lasts, but the path forward isn't always clear. In Thame and the surrounding areas like Chinnor and Haddenham, you aren't short of options. But for most of our members at LAMBS Fitness, the choice eventually boils down to two paths: one-on-one personal training or small group training. Both paths lead to the same summit, but the terrain is different. The...

My Coaching Story & Philosophy: Building Resilient Bodies and Minds
Aaron Lamb - Strength and Conditioning Coach Fitness has always been part of who I am. Long before I became a coach, long before LAMBS Fitness existed, training was the thing I leaned on to make sense of life. But the philosophy I coach by today wasn’t built overnight — it was shaped through years of setbacks, resilience, and learning the hard way what happens when you try to do everything alone. The Journey That Shaped Me My story really begins at 14 years old, when I decided I wanted to...

Silverstone Half Marathon: Lessons From the Track
The Silverstone Half Marathon is more than a road race. Running on an iconic Formula 1 circuit brings a sense of occasion that forces presence — wide roads, smooth tarmac, and nowhere to hide. From the start line, it felt less about chasing a time and more about executing a plan. That mindset shaped the entire race. Discipline Early The opening miles felt easy — deceptively so. That’s one of the biggest traps in a half marathon. As runners, we know that pushing too early rarely ends well....
